Sabr or Patience !!

Patience is knowing that your Duas will be answered in a way that is best for you, even if you don't see results right away

Patience is remembering kindness, humility, and humanity while being angry or upset!

When One thinks about patience the first thing that comes to mind is dealing with frustrating people & dealing with disappointment

Patience is not ability to wait but how you act while waiting !!

Patience is bearing what you may think is unbearable, w/ gratitude, knowing this pleases Allah & He will get you through it.

Patience is accepting the situation at hand while realizing that there is good in it

Patience to me means being calm,humble and in control when am frustrated and blinded by negativity.

patience is giving yourself or someone else time, but understanding your own limitations in order to keep oneself sane.

Patience is the ability to endure something that is causing you pain and still keep a sense of sound inner peace with yourself

LAST SERMON OF HOLY PROPHET MOHAMMAD(SAW)

THIS SERMON WAS DELIVERED ON THE NINTH DAY OF DHUL-HIJJAH 10 AD IN THE URANAH VALLEY OF MOUNT ARRAFAT

*"O people, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether, after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and TAKE THESE TO THOSE WHO COULD NOT BE PRESENT HERE TODAY.*

*O people, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as sacred, so regard the life and property of every muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your lord and that He will indeed reckon your deeds. ALLAH has forbidden you to take usury (interest). Therefore all interst obligation shall henceforth be waived.*

*Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in things, so beware of following him in small things.*

*O people, it is true that you have the right with regards to your woman, but they also have rights over you. If they abide by your rights then to them belong the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it approve, as well as never commit adultery.*

*O people, listen to me in earnest, worship ALLAH, say your five time daily prayers (salat) fast during the month of ramadan, and give your wealth in zakat. Perform Hajj if you can afford to. You know that every muslim is the brother of another muslim. YOU ARE ALL EQUAL.. No body has superiority over another except by piety and good action.*

*Remember, one day you will appear before ALLAH and answer for your deeds. O beware, do not stray from the part of righteousness after I am gone.*

*O people, NO PROPHET OR APOSTLE WILL COME AFTER ME AND NO NEW FAITH WILL BE BORN. Reason well, therefore people, understand my word, which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the QURAN and my SUNNAH and if you follow these you will not go astray.*

*All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again, and may the last understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness O ALLAH, that I have convyed your message to your people"*

Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) ‘s Love towards our Mother Khadijah Bint Khuwailid (رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنهَا)

We often tend to do/show things which mean love towards our spouse. But we really forget to think about how a mother/father "love" his/her kid.

Even though the kid may be not so good looking the feeling of attachment and love that spreads in one's heart is different. We feel about our parents. Etc.

What about the love of spouses?

A'ishah (رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنهَا) reported:

"I never felt jealous of any of the wives of the Prophet () as much as I did of Khadijah, although I have never seen her, but the Prophet () used to mention her very often. Whenever he slaughtered a sheep, he would cut it into pieces and send them to the women friends of Khadijah. When I sometimes said to him: "You treat Khadijah in such a way as if there is no woman on earth except her". He would say, "Khadijah was such and such (commending her and speaking well of her), and I had children from her."" [Sahih Bukhari]

And yet another similar hadith by A'ishah that occurs in Sahih Muslim ends like this:

"….I annoyed him one day and said: (It is) Khadijah only who always prevails upon your mind. Thereupon Allah's Messenger () said: "Her love has been nurtured in my heart by Allah Himself.""

The Arabic words in the latter hadith are رُزِقْتُ حُبَّهَا ("ruziqtu hubbahaa") – which mean that Allah Himself had given Prophet Muhammad the "provision" (rizq) of the love ("حُبَّ ") of Khadijah. In other words,

-         it was Allah who made the Prophet love his deceased first wife years after she was gone from his life, even after he married a beautiful girl who was decades younger.

-         a love so strong, that it did not die with her death.

-         She was also blessed by Allah with righteousness of progeny (who also attained ultimate success in the Akhirah.)

We should therefore make our intention in life solely the acquisition of the pleasure of Allah, and stop associating – even slightly, – anyone else with Him, even our Spouses.

Don't neglect our spousal relationship, we tend to take it for granted and we don't even try to ask Allah about it. Are we doing the right thing? I think not!!

May Allah give us knowledge to see what is correct and the knowledge to ask Allah about right things at right time.

The Essence of the Path of Tasawwuf

Hazrat Moulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi (rahmatullahi 'alaih) once mentioned:

A Sufi from Ilaahabad, who would often listen to samaa' (nazams and naats), once enquired from me regarding its status. I replied, "I will not engage you in an academic discussion. Rather, I will simply ask you a question which you can answer through your own personal observation. Tell me, what is the essence of the path of Tasawwuf?" The person replied, "The essence of the path of Tasawwuf is Mujaahadah (i.e. opposing the desires of the nafs)." I then said to him, "The second question I now wish to ask you is whether or not your nafs feels inclined to listening to samaa' (nazams and naats)." The man replied, "Yes, my nafs does feel inclined." I thereafter concluded asking, "So tell me, are you the people making mujaahadah or are we? Are we the true Sufis or are you people the true Sufis? Despite our hearts desiring to listen to samaa', we do not do so, whereas, despite your hearts desiring to listen to samaa', you do so." The man then submitted saying, "Only today have I really understood this mas'alah." Saying this, he began to make tawbah and repented to Allah Ta'ala in front of me.

Hazrat Moulana Thaanwi (rahimahullah) further mentioned in relation to samaa': One of my friends had begun performing Tahajjud Salaah, reciting the Qur'aan and performing other virtuous deeds. However, he soon thereafter went to a certain place in the capacity of a government official. The place he went to would often hold programs of samaa' (nazams and naats), and on account of his prominent position, he would also be invited to attend. He would accept the invitation and attend the program. He himself thereafter said, "I noticed this to be the effect of samaa', that I would previously be motivated to perform Salaah, recite the Qur'aan and engage in ibaadaat. However, after I began listening to samaa', the motivation and enjoyment towards these virtuous deeds no longer remained. I thus understood samaa' to be harmful to my Deen." A DEMANDING BEGGAR

Hazrat Mufti Taqi Uthmāni Sahib حفظه الله has mentioned an amazing interaction between himself and his honourable father Hazrat Mufti Shafi Sahib رحمه الله. He says; "It was the habit of my father to always give beggars something. Once I was in the car with him. At a certain juncture, the car stopped. A beggar came and asked in a demanding voice."

My father took out something from his pocket and handed it over to him.

I submitted: "My father, these type of beggars are generally not worthy of being granted money. Should we give them or not?"

The amazing answer which he stated is still engraved in the recesses of my heart. He said, "What you have said is correct. However, ponder, if we also have to receive from الله تعالى جل جلاله according to our worth, then what will happen to us ?"

Student loans!

Avoid the trap of Student loans!
Avoid falling for those who say it is OK to take student loans!
Avoid the war which you will never win!

Having a college degree has become an essential part of our present day world. But does it guarantee our Rizq (sustenance)? No! College degree can be a means for a better living - by the Will of Allaah - but one should not forget that our sustenance was already decreed for us even before we were born.

The reality is that a college degree does not promise good jobs, or better standard of living, or increase in sustenance. Many people with college degree are jobless or are working in a field different from what they had studied, while some without college degree are well-off.

So what guarantees Rizq and a better living are: Imaan, Taqwa, Tawakkul, Tawbah and Istighfaar, `Ibaadah of Allaah alone, Du`aa etc.

With a college degree a person may or may not have a good life, but by taking student loans (which are based on interest), he is:
1) Waging war against Allaah;
2) Sinning against his Creator;
3) It is a false reliance on your ability instead of the Creator;
4) The world, as vast as it may seem, will become confining to him;
5) He may end up paying twice or more than the loan he had signed for;
6) He may spend his life repaying this debt;
7) But the worst is his jeopardizing his Hereafter for a little gain in this world.

If a person believes that his sustenance is because of the knowledge he possesses, then he has behaved like Qaaroon who believed that all the wealth that he had was because of his knowledge:

{He (Qaaroon) said: "This has been given to me only because of the knowledge I possess."} [Surah al-Qasas (28): 78]

So while everyone should achieve to have a college degree, but it should not make us believe that without it we will not survive. One can take loan from family and friends or go to countries where education is affordable. But applying for a student loan for paying tuition fees is not an option for a believer.

Our happiness and success in this world is through our obedience to Allaah. Disobedience and sins will only increase us in hardship:

{"But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur'aan nor acts on its orders, etc.) verily, for him is a LIFE OF HARDSHIP, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection."} [Surah TaHa (20): 124]

And don't compare our lives with the lives of the Kuffaar. For them this earth is a paradise while for the believer this is a prison. For them is this world, but the Hereafter is only for the Believers.
