Hijaab is Allah's Protection

Hijaab is Allah's Protection for a woman; it is the obligation that is compulsory for 24 hours. And along with modesty, safety & respect, Hijaab also brings healing & Shifa. For a Muslimah, there will be no health without Hijaab. The disease will enter her body with the evil eyes of men, & in the times of Fitnah today when Fawaahish have spread everywhere, women should be more careful & conscious.

These days, Muslims have different concepts for Hijaab, especially the Hijaab of face.

Mufti Shafi Sahib has explained this issue so perfectly & the reference below is taken from his Tafseer "Ma'arif-ul-Quraan" for Surah Ahzaab ~ verses 53 ~ 55. Download the files :

Hafiz Abu Nu'aim narrated in his book that Anas Radi Allaho Anh reported that Prophet Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam asked his Sahabah "What is the best for women?"

No one could tell the appropriate answer, so Ali Bin Abi Talib Radi Allaho Anh went to Fatimah Radi Allaho Anha & asked her the same question.

She said that why you did not say that "THE BEST FOR women is that neither they watch men, nor are watched by them".

Ali Bin Abi Talib Radi Allaho Anh returned to Prophet Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihe and told him the answer and our beloved Prophet asked "Who told you this"? Ali Bin Abi Talib Radi Allaho Anh said "Fatimah". Prophet Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihe said "Fatimah (her knowledge & understanding) of course is a part of me".

10 Green Ahadith

Did the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) say anything about saving our planet? Did he promote any ideas or practices relevant to the world's growing concern about the future of the earth and its resources?
Below is a collection of the Prophet's Ahadith

Plant a tree even if it is your last deed:
1. Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “If the Hour (the day of Resurrection) is about to be established and one of you was holding a palm shoot, let him take advantage of even one second before the Hour is established to plant it.” (Reported by Ahmad and Al-Bukhan on the authority of Anas in Al Adab Al-Mufrad,)

Planting trees is a renewable source of hasanat:
2. Anas also reported that the Prophet said, "If a Muslim plants a tree or sows seeds, and then a bird, or a person or an animal eats from it, it is regarded as a charitable gift (sadaqah) for him." (Bukhari)

Conserve resources even when used for rituals:
3. Abdullah ibn Amr ibn Al-`Aas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet passed one day by Sa`d ibn Abi Waqas (May Allah be pleased with him) while he was performing wudu' (ritual cleaning of body parts in preparation for prayer). The Prophet asked Sa`d, "What is this wastage?" Sa`d replied "Is there wastage in wudu also?" The Prophet said, "Yes, even if you are at a flowing river." (Ahmad and authenticated Ahmad Shakir)

Keeping environment clean is important:
4. The Prophet warned, "Beware of the three acts that cause you to be cursed: relieving yourselves in shaded places (that people utilize), in a walkway or in a watering place." (Narrated by Mu`adh , hasan by Al-Albani)

5. Abu Zarr Al-Ghafari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,"Removing harmful things from the road is an act of charity (sadaqah)." (Narrated by Abu Dharr Al-Ghafari)

No for over-consumption! Consider recycling and fixing before buying new items:
6. Abdullah ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet said, "The believer is not he who eats his fill while his neighbor is hungry." (Saheeh al-Bukharee (112))

7. Asked about what the Prophet used to do in his house, the Prophet's wife, `A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her), said that he used to repair his shoes, sow his clothes and used to do all such household works done by an average person.(Sahih Bukhari)

8. The Prophet said, "Whoever kills a sparrow or anything bigger than that without a just cause, Allah will hold him accountable on the Day of Judgment."  The listeners asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is a just cause?" He replied, "That he will kill it to eat, not simply to chop off its head and then throw it away." (An-Nasa'i)

Animals should be cared for:
9. Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet said, "A man felt very thirsty while he was on the way, there he came across a well. He went down the well, quenched his thirst and came out. Meanwhile he saw a dog panting and licking mud because of excessive thirst. He said to himself, "This dog is suffering from thirst as I did." So, he went down the well again, filled his shoe with water, held it with his mouth and watered the dog. Allah appreciated him for that deed and forgave him." The Companions said, "O Allah's Messenger! Is there a reward for us in serving the animals?" He replied: "There is a reward for serving any living being." (Bukhari)

10. Abdullah ibn `Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet said, "A woman entered the (Hell) Fire because of a cat which she had tied, neither giving it food nor setting it free to eat from the vermin of the earth."(Bukhari)

Following of Sunnah!

Allama Sayyid Suleman Nadwi (May Allah have mercy on him) said,
‘The following of Sunnah (ittaba’ e Sunnat) is not limited to changing the external appearance and attire only.
The complete (kamil) following of Sunnah entails that the thoughts, aspirations, emotional feelings and desires all become subservient to the Prophet’s (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) taste (zauq).

Bachcho ki barbaadi ka bahut bad a sabab maa baap hai

Apni fuzool kharchiyon ko kam karo

Advice of Hazrat Abdul Qadir Jeelani (Rahmatullahi ‘alaih)

One mureed, after having spent many years in the company of Sheikh Abdul Qader Jailani (Rahmatullah ‘alaih), requested some parting advice, before taking leave from his Sheikh. Sheikh Abdul Qader Jailani (Rahmatullah ‘alaih) told him :
“Do not claim Divinity and do not claim Nabuwwat (Prophethood).”
The mureed asked : “Does Hazrat think that after all these years in Hazrat’s company, I will make such a claim ?”
Sheikh Abdul Qader Jailani (Rahmatullah ‘alaih) explained to his mureed that, “Do
not claim to be Allah.” means that do not wish that everything happens according to your will and desire. If you do so, then you are claiming to be Allah; whereas
whatever Allah Ta’ala wills, will happen, for it is HE who makes the final decisions in all matters. As far as we, human beings, are concerned, if we feel that our whims and fancies have to be fulfilled as is, then we are claiming to be Allah.

“Do not claim Nabuwwat.” means that no matter how much of piety and Taqwa you acquire with Islaah and Tazkia, don’t make the claim that you are sinless and never in the wrong. This is the sifat (attribute) of the Ambiyaa (‘Alaihimus Salaam), for they are ‘ma’soom’ (sinless) and ‘mahfooz’ (protected from sin). Therefore, no matter how much of time you have spent in the suhbat (company) and khidmat (service) of your Sheikh and no matter what high rank you attain to, do not think that you are like the Rasul of Allah and that no slip can occur in your life. Do not claim that you will never err because of the years spent with your Sheikh and because of the Wilayat conferred upon you. Being human beings we are prone to slip.

Aqwale Zareen - Hazrat Ali Radiyallaho Anhu's sayings

1) Bewqoof aurat Apne shohar ko apna Ghulam banati hai aur khud Ghulam ki Biwi ban jati hai..
Jab ke aqalmand aurat apne Shohar ko Badshah banati hai aur khud Badshah ki Mallika banjati hai..

2) Agar kisi ka zarf aazmana ho to usko zyada izzat do... Woh alaa zarf hua to aap ko aur izzat dega aur kam zarf hua to khud ko AALA ZARF samjhega...

3) Zindagi ke har mod par sulaah karna seekho. Kyun ke jhukta wohi hai jis me jaan hoti hai.

8) Jo tumhe khushi mein yaad aaye, samjho tum us se mohabbat karte ho aur jo tumhe gham me yaad aaye to samjho woh tum se mohabbat karta hai...

"Is he not from the Ummah of Muhammad SAW?

Sultan Murad IV, the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire from 1623-1640, would often anonymously go into the midst of the people and see their state. One evening, he felt an uneasiness in himself and the urge to go out. He called for his head of security and and out they went.

They came to a busy vicinity, and found a man lying on the ground. The Sultan prodded him but he was dead and the people were going about their own business. Nobody seemed to care about the dead man lying on the ground. The Sultan called upon the people. they didn't recognise him and asked him what he wanted.

He said, "Why is this man lying dead on the ground and why does no one seem to care? Where is his family?"

They replied, "He is so and so, the drunkard and fornicator!"

The Sultan said, "Is he not from the Ummah of Muhammad
SAW? Now help me carry him to his house"

They people carried the dead man with the Sultan to his house and once they reached, they all left. The Sultan and his assistant remained. When the man's wife saw his dead body, she began weeping. She said to his dead body, "Allah have mercy on you! O friend of Allah! I bear witness that you are from the pious ones."

The Sultan was bewildered. He said, "How is he from the pious ones when the people say such and such things about him. So much so that no one even cared he was dead?"

She replied, "I was expecting that. My husband would go to the tavern every night and buy as much wine as he could. He would then bring it home and pour it all down the drain. He would then say, "I saved the Muslims a little today." He would then go to a prostitute, give her some money and tell her to close her door till the morning. He would then return home for a second time and say, "Today I saved a young woman and the youth of the believers from vice." The people would see him buy wine and they would see him go to the prostitutes and they would consequently talk about him. One day I said to him, "When you die, there will be no one to bathe you, there will be no one to pray over you and there will be no one to bury you!" He laughed and replied, "Don't fear, the Sultan of the believers, along with the pious ones shall pray over my body."

The Sultan began crying. He said, "By Allah! He has said the truth, for I am Sultan Murad. Tomorrow we shall bathe him, pray over him and bury him." And it so happened that the Sultan, the scholars, the pious people and the masses prayed over him.

We judge people by what we see and what we hear from others. Only if we were to see what was concealed in their hearts, a secret between them and their Lord.

"O you who believe, abstain from many of the suspicions. Some suspicions are sins. And do not be curious (to find out faults of others), and do not backbite one another. Does one of you like that he eats the flesh of his dead brother? You would abhor it. And fear Allah. Surely Allah is Most-Relenting, Very-Merciful." (49:12)

The Prophet (Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam) once asked his companions,

"Who amongst you loves his inheritors' money more than his own money?"

The Sahabah said, "Yaa RasulAllah, all of us love our own money more than we love the money of our inheritors. We all love  our own money. We guard it and protect it more than the money of our inheritors.”

Then the Prophet (Sallallaho Alahi Wasallam) said, "Verily, the money that you spend in charity is your money, and the money that you leave  behind is the money of your inheritors.

Take advantage of five matters before five other matters

Ibne Abbas radi Allahu anhu reports  in the mustadrak of Al-Haakim, musnad Imam Ahmad, and others, with an authentic chain of narration. In this hadith the Prophet Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam said to a man while he was advising him:
"Take advantage of five matters before five other matters:
  • 1)      your youth, before you become old;
  • 2)      your health, before you fall sick;
  • 3)      your richness, before you become poor;
  • 4)      your free time before you become busy;
  • 5)      And your life, before your death.

Translation: "Allah! There is no god but He - the Living, The Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him Nor Sleep. His are all things In the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede In His presence except As he permitteth? He knoweth What (appeareth to His creatures As) Before or After or Behind them. Nor shall they compass Aught of his knowledge Except as He willeth. His throne doth extend Over the heavens And on earth, and He feeleth No fatigue in guarding And preserving them, For He is the Most High. The Supreme (in glory)." [Surah al-Baqarah 2: 255]

Fadhail (Virtues) of Ayat al Kursi and it’s benefits
1) Ubayy bin Ka'b (radiAllahu anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Abu Mundhir! Do you know which Ayah in Allah's Book is the greatest? I said: 'Allah and His messenger know best.' He (peace be upon him) again said: 'Do you know which Ayah in Allah's Book, according to you, is the greatest?' I (Abu Mundhir) replied: ‘It is 'Allahu la ilaha illa Huwal-Hayyul-Qayyum'.[2:255].
Thereupon he (peace be upon him) patted me in the chest and said, ' Rejoice by your knowledge, O Abu Mundhir! (i.e, may this knowledge be a source of respect, honour and benefit to you)'."                               Reference: Book 004, Number 1768: (Sahih Muslim)

2) Abu Umamah Al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:  Whosoever recites Ayat al Kursi after every Prayer then nothing can stop him from entering Paradise except for death (i.e. he will for sure enter paradise after death) [Sunnan Nasai’i al Kubra, (6/30), At-Tabrani in his Al-Kabeer (8/114), Ibn Sunni in Amal al Yawm wal Layla (Page. 43), Imam al-Haythami in Majma az-Zawaid (10/106) where he declared the chain as “HASAN (FAIR)” and others]
3) Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah 's Apostle ordered me to guard the Zakat revenue of Ramadan. Then somebody came to me and started stealing of the foodstuff. I caught him and said, "I will take you to Allah's Apostle!" Then Abu Huraira described the whole narration and said: That person said (to me), "Please don't take me to Allah's Apostle and I will tell you a few words by which Allah will benefit you. When you go to your bed, recite Ayat-al-Kursi, (2:255) for then there will be a guard from Allah who will protect you all night long, and Satan will not be able to come near you till dawn." (When the Prophet heard the story) he said (to me), "He (who came to you at night) told you the truth although he is a liar; and it was Satan."
Reference: Volume 6, Book 61, Number 530: (Sahih Bukhari)

4) Imam Nasai’i, Abu Ya’la, Ibn Hibban, Abu Shaykh in his Al-Azmah, Tabarani, Hakim who declared it Sahih, Abu Nua’ym and Baihaqi in his Dalail narrate from Ubay ibn Ka’b that he used to have a field of dates and he used to guard it but as time passed by he kept less watch over it. One night he planned to guard it, but he saw an (animal) in shape of a young boy. Ubay Ibn Ka’b offered him greetings and he replied back. Ibn Ka’b asked him whether he was a human or Jinn? He replied: He was Jinn! Ubayy asked him to show his hand, Ubayy saw that his hand was like that of a dog and it had hair on it like dog does. Ubayy asked: Are Jinns created in this fashion? He replied: Some Jinns are even more stranger than me. Ubayy asked: Who compelled you to do this (i.e. steal from my field) he replied: I have heard that you love to give Sadaqa so I thought of taking (stealing) something from you. Ubayy asked: What is it that can protect us from you? The Jinn replied: “Ayat al Kursi” which is in Surah al-Baqarah, whosoever recites it in the evening will be safe from our Sharr till the morning, and whosoever recites it in the morning he will be safe from us till evening. On next morning Ibn Ka’b went to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) and told him about this, the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: The “Khabeeth told the truth” [Imam Jalal ud-din Suyuti in Tafsir Dur ul Munthur, Volume No.2, Page No. 5]

5) Imam al-Mahamli (rah) narrates in his “Fawaid” from Ibn Masud (ra): A man said: O Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) teach me something through which Allah will benefit me. The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: Recite Ayat al Kursi, Allah will protect you, your children, also protect your house rather even the houses which are near to yours [Imam Jalal ud-din Suyuti in Dur ul Munthur, (2/6)]

6) Everything has its pinnacle and the pinnacle of the Qur’an is Surah al-Baqarah. In it there is an ayah which is the greatest in the Qur’an: Ayat al-Kursi.                                                                                  [at-Tirmidhi]

7) Abu Hurairah reports: “Whenever you go to bed, recite “Ayat-al-Kursi”– ‘Allaahu laa ilaaha illaa huwal-Hayyul Qayyuum’ till you finish the whole verse. (If you do so), Allah will appoint a guard for you who will stay with you and no satan will come near you till morning. “ (Bukhari Book #38, Hadith #505)

8) Anas (ALLAH be well pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (ALLAH bless him and give him peace) said that Ayat al-Kursi is equal to a quarter of the Quran.[Tafsir al-Mazhari: Under Ayat al-Kursi. Qadi Thana’ullah Pani-pathi]

Sabrun Jameel

Sabr isn’t the ability to wait, but the ability to keep a good attitude whilst waiting, knowing Allah’s plans are far better than any other.

Search of Knowledge

One who treads a path in search of knowledge has his path to Paradise made easy by Allah  [Muslim]
