Whoever controls his belly controls all good deeds

Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem

Hunger of the Salaf

It is reported from Ibn Sîrîn – Allâh have mercy on him – that a man
once said to Ibn 'Umar – Allâh be pleased with him:

Can we offer you some Jawârish? He inquired, "And what is Jawârish?"
The man replied, "It is something that will help you digest your food
if you get too full up." Ibn 'Umar said, "I have not eaten my fill for
four months – not because I cannot find food, but because I have lived
with people who used to eat their fill at times and go hungry at
others.

Abû Dâwûd, Al-Zuhd article 325.

It is reported that Al-Hasan Al-Basrî – Allâh have mercy on him – said:

By He in whose Hand is my soul, I have lived amongst people who never
ordered food to be prepared for themselves If [food] was presented to
one of them, he would eat, otherwise, he would be silent; and he would
not care if it was hot or cold.

Abû Nu'aym, Hilyatu Al-Awliyâ` 6:270.

It is also reported that he said:

By Allâh, I have lived amongst people who when taking lunch, if they
were about to be full, would stop eating.

Ibid.

It is reported that Al-Fudayl b. 'Ayyâd – Allâh have mercy on him – said:

Two things harden the heart, too much talking and too much food.

Ibn Hibbân Al-Bustî, Rawdatu Al-'Uqalâ` p45, Matba'ah Al-Sunnah
Al-Muhammadîyah 1949.

It is reported that Mâlik b. Dînâr – Allâh have mercy on him – said:

It is unfitting for a believer that his belly becomes his greatest
concern, or that his desires dominate him.

Ibn Abî Al-Dunyâ, Al-Jû' (The Book of Hunger) article 105.

It is also reported that he said:

Whoever controls his belly controls all good deeds.

Ibid. article 99.

It is reported that the Tâbi'î (Successor) 'Uqbah b. Wassâj – Allâh
have mercy on him – was once at a wedding reception where many kinds
of dishes were offered and people started trying one dish after
another. He started to cry, and said:

"I found the first part of this Ummah fearing all this upon
themselves." And he ate only from one dish.

Ibid. article 261.

It is reported that Muhammad b. Sîrîn – Allâh have mercy on him – said:

A man from the companions of the Prophet – praise and peace of Allâh
be upon him – would sometimes go three days without finding anything
to eat, so he would grill some animal skin and eat that. If he
couldn't find anything at all, he would [tie] a rock to himself to
straighten his back.

Ibid. article 61.

THINGS TO AVOID DURING RAMADAN

1. Don't sleep during the day and pray all night. By doing this you are converting the day into night and the night into day, which is not the purpose of fasting.
2. Avoid being lazy and inactive during the day.
3. Don't waste time playing games during the day. Rather, please Allah by increasing in your worship of him..
4. Don't ask your wife to spend Ramadan in the Kitchen. Eat something light and quick. This way you'll give her more time for worship.
5. Spend the last 10 days worshiping Allah rather than trying to prepare for Eid! A night that is better than a thousand months is in these last 10 nights. You can't afford to miss this.
6. Dont stay awake the whole night. Your body has a right over you, and when it wants rest, then rest.
7. Avoid excessive socializing after Taraweeh
8. Avoid shopping a lot in Ramadan.
9. Don't eat all night.
10. Don't loiter around at night rather than worshiping Allah.
11. Eid doesn't require loads of preparation. Don't fall into this trap! Keep it simple, and it will be blessed.

Allah has blessed us with the Month of Ramadan, So make the most of it... in shaa Allah

Khwaab to sab ke hote hain

yahan apni apni bari par sab hansty hain sab roty hain

dil to sab ka hota hai dukh bhi sab ke hote hain

kuch ashk dilon pe girte hain kuch mitti main mill jaate hain

kuch lafz ada ho jaate hain kueh honton main sil jaate hain

mana k adhure rehty hain par khwaab to sab ke hote hain

kuch kho kar bhi pa lete hain

kuch log bht yad ate hain

wo pal bhar ki narazgiyan aur maan bhi jana pal bhar main

ab khud se jab bhi roothun to kuch log bohut yaad ate hain

Whom are we pleasing? ...

Hadhrat Mu`aawiya (radhiAllahu anhu) once wrote to Hadhrat Aisha (radhiAllaahu anha), asking for advice. She replied:
“Assalaamu Alaik,
Verily I heard Rasulullaah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) saying: ‘That person who seeks the pleasure of Allaah Ta`ala, when the creation may be displeased, Allaah Ta`ala will be sufficient for him against the plots (and harms) of people. That person who pleases the people, whilst courting the displeasure of Allaah Ta`ala, then Allaah Ta`ala hands him over to the people (i.e he is deprived of Divine Assistance).’

Was Salaam Alaik” [Mishkaat Shareef]

Words!!! To hell with you....Talaaq...full of life changing emotions

"Talaaq to day rahay ho Nazar-e-qehar ke saath
Jawani bhi meri lauta do Mehar ke saath"  [Mahjabeen Bano (MeenaKumari)]

(You are divorcing me with rage in your eyes
Return to me, also, my youth along with the alimony!)

As soon as I read these verses, I uttered "Kya baat hai, kya dard hai (Wow wonderful words, how much pain they resemble in them)". Suddenly a thought came to me that, how important is each of the utterance which comes out from us, humans is....The one who says these words Talaq"..practically goes through it. It feels like you have just invoked an Alarm bell in the darbaar of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala.

Today I read a News which was telling that divorces have increased among Software Industry people, then again google took me to Meena kumari's wiki biography whose touchy life story ending with the above verses really made me emotional and think about the wisdom around the "Talaq".

According to Ibn Maajah, The Messenger of Allaah said, “One of you may utter a word of what pleases Allaah without him knowing how excellent the word is and for which he will continue to attain Allaah’s pleasure until the day he will meet Him. And someone among you may utter a word that displeases Allaah without him knowing how grievous the word is and on account of which he will continue to earn Allaah’s wrath until the day he will meet Him.”

With this instance I felt how close are we with Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, that not only specific words, each word that we utter, speak, How Allah is listening to everything. Following verses of Surah Kahf say more about this:
16. And indeed We have created man, and We know what his own self whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge).
17. (Remember!) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being after he or she has attained the age of puberty), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions)
18. Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it).
19. And the stupor of death will come in truth: "This is what you have been avoiding!"
20. And the Trumpet will be blown, that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection).
21. And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness.
22. (It will be said to the sinners): "Indeed you were heedless of this, now We have removed your covering, and sharp is your sight this Day!"
23. And his companion (angel) will say: "Here is (this Record) ready with me!"

May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'la give us ability (salahiyat) to speak or utter only that which takes  us to Jannah(Heaven), and save our tongue from uttering anything which takes us to Jahannum(hell).

An emotional way of thinking, in actual its our own earning:
[Translations are taken from another blog]
Waqt Ne Kiya Kya Haseen Sitam
Tum Rahe Na Tum, Hum Rahe Na Hum

What beautiful words!!! The word 'sitam' means torture or punishment, and the English word 'oppression' gets closest to its meaning. But the adjective used to describe it is 'Haseen'. Haseen means handsome/beautiful. The reason why such punishment is praised because the singer has accepted the fate, which is the changing times in which we all live. Now both of us are different from what we used to be. You are not the same person and I have also changed!!

Ek Raah Par Chal Ke Do Qadam
After walking only a few steps on the same path.

Waqt Ne Kiya Kya Haseen Sitam
Tum Rahe Na Tum, Hum Rahe Na Hum

Jaayenge Kahan, Soojhta Nahin
Chal Pade Magar Raasta Nahin
Kya Talaash Hai, Kuchh Pata Nahin
Bun Rahe Hain Din, Khwaab Dum-Ba-Dum

The destination is not clear and it's now become difficult to decide, as we don't know where to go? But still we have started walking albeit there is no path
What are we searching for? We don't know, and now we are slowly making (knitting - the correct translation of the word 'Bun') our days with dreams in every breath we breathe. I interpret this line as if the singer is day-dreaming about the destination.

Waqt Ne Kiya Kya Haseen Sitam
Tum Rahe Na Tum, Hum Rahe Na Hum

Most of the times we tend to think like this after some time but...

Aye Kaash ke ye hum samzen..Alaas!! If we could understand

Insaan bahut naadaan hai. Agar yeh apni marzi par chalega to halaakat ke siva kuch bhi na payega. Na hi woh apne balboote par apni duniya bana sakta hai na hi aakhirat. Isme buniyadi kamzoriyan hai. Insan jaldbaaz hai. Apni jaldbaazi ki wajah se galat faisle karta hai. yeh jaahil hai "Innahu kaana zalooman jahoola".

Agar yeh Allah ki taraf jhuk jata hai to uski duniya aur aakhirat dono ban jati hai. Jis Allah ne insan ko duniya mein bheja hai usne zindgi guzarne ka ek tarika bhi diya hai. Usi ne maut ke baad ek ANJAAM rakhkha hai.

Baarak-Allaahu Feekum - Wa SallAllaahu Wa-sallam 'alaa Nabiyyinaa Muhammad, Was-Salaam 'alaykum wa-Rahmatullaahi wa-Barakaatuhu.

A Hijabi Muslimah's fight

A Hijabi Muslimah said :

When I Go To Market And I See All These Kind Of Tight Jeans, Short Skirts And indecent Clothes
Shaitan Comes And Whispers To Me   All  Girls Are Wearing Those Clothes Except You !!
Live Your Life As Girls in Your Age Are Doing!

I just ignore His Whispers And Remember This Ayah (verse of Quran):
“But As For Him Who Feared Standing Before His Lord, And Restrained Himself From Evil Desires, And Lusts. Verily, Paradise Will Be His Home”.

I Also Remember This Hadith  Teachings of Prophet Mohammad Sallallaho A’laihi wasallam
’Ό Clothed Yet Naked Women Who Will Never Enter Jannah Or Smell its fragrance.

At That Point,
I Control My Desires And I Teach My Nafs (Soul) That Jannah is Way More Precious Than A Cheap Piece Of Cloth.

Dear Sisters,
Surround Yourself With The Great Meanings Of That Ayah in This Time Of Temptations, Raise Your Nafs (soul) To Control its Desires.

Ya Allah!!! Turner Of Hearts, Make Our Hearts Firm On Your Deen And Save Us from The Evil Of Fitnah, Ameen Ya Rabbul Alameen
